예명인 레이디 가가(Lady Gaga)로 활동하는 미국의 여성 싱어송라이터이자 행위예술가이다.

가가는 퍼기, 푸시캣 돌스, 브리트니 스피어스, 뉴 키즈 온 더 블록과 같은
유명 가수들의 노래를 쓰면서 경력을 쌓기 시작했다.
미국의 가수이자 제작자인 에이콘의 노래 또한 가가가 작곡한 적이 있는데,
에이콘은 가가와 함께 작업하면서 그녀의 가창력이 매우 뛰어난 것을 알고
자신의 레이블인 콘 라이브 배급사를 통해 그녀와 계약을 맺었다.
